Wildfire Smoke Warning
Due to a very large wildfire near Ebbw Vale, Wales, Herefordshire is experiencing very high levels of smoke pollution at 13:30BST 9th August 2026, being carried on the wind from Wales.
The current readings breach all normal safe air quality WHO guidelines, with an AQI reading of 175 at 13:30BST. People in the local area should plan and act accordingly.
